The band King Poyaviack consists of musicians from Poland who came to  New York City in the late 80's and early 90's. The idea of playing together in a band started at MIT Music, a music store in Brooklyn, Greenpoint. At first they did Saturday night sessions at Mark's house, Polish National House, Coyote Studio and Gauge Studio.  The band played mostly instrumental, improvised, film music with elements of acid jazz. From April 1997 the band started recording Saturday night sessions at Mark's Meditation Studio. So far the band recorded over 20 hours of music in studios and 3 live recording sessions for friends at the Roxy studio in Queens in late 1999. Until March, 2000 the group consisted of Mark Rzeczkowski, Michael Szczerba, Andy Kaczynski, Maciek Miernik, Suavek Zaniesienko, Jacek Mlodochowski, Suavik Adamkowski, Mick Hanson, Jacek "Lesnik" Szymanski, Andrew "Steamroller" Walec, Przemek Wojciechowski, Adam Romanowski, Kamil Rzeczkowski. After years of hard work the band released their first CD in the spring 2000.

In November and December 2000 King Poyaviack recorded three Studio sessions at Roxy (four five and six) and one more in January 2001 (seven). During that time new musicians joined the band :
Darek Palczak (drums) ,  Jacek Kochanowski (percussion) ,  Jacek Puchalski (guitar)

On January 21, 2001 The band played a live performance at The Saint in Manhattan, NYC. The Lineup :  Jacek Puchalski (guitar), Marek Rzeczkowski (guitar), Suavek Zaniesienko (fretless bass), Michael Szczerba (second bass), Kamil Rzeczkowski (keyboards), Darek Palczak (drums).

A month Later on February 19, 2001 there was another live performance at the legendary CBGB also in Manhattan, NYC. The lineup was the same as for The Saint performance PLUS sax player Suavik Adamkowski.
